A SOUL GONE HOME
A soul is dying
Somewhere in the land
Where can that soul be?
Wherever a soul does cry in agony.
Who cares of that soul?
Does anyone know?
Who has dropped upon one’s knees
To pray for that soul in agony?
A soul soon passing in the grip of sin
To be delivered to the Devil’s den.
Does one not hear of a faithful few
That in ‘58 began to move
PEF I believe the name
That roamed the hills and the plains.
To seek that soul in agony
To tell of Jesus who one can plead
To deliver from agony
The soul in passing can pass in rest
Knowing that Jesus has met the test
Knowing that Jesus through a faithful few
Has brought salvation into view.
The soul that in duress
Now no longer under distress
Now that soul can pass in peace
To enjoy God for eternity.
